TV Squad posts of the week

Here are the articles I wrote this week for TV Squad:
- Shonda Rhimes: In the Limelight (The woman behind Grey's Anatomy also wrote Britney Spears' Crossroads?!?)
- Lost: The 8 minutes 15 seconds recap (A fantastic and rather complete Lost recap.)
- Spoilers Anonymous - VIDEO (Spoilers for Bones, Gossip Girl, Kyle XY, Las Vegas, Lost, One Tree Hill, Prison Break, Psych and Smallville.)
- Top TV Stories of 2007: Lost and the flash forward - VIDEO (The WTF? moment of the Lost finale revisited.)
- Actresses from Smallville and BSG launch a new website (It's a website for college students. Right now they are at the gathering ideas stage.)

TV Squad posts of the week

Here are the articles I wrote this week for TV Squad:
- Journeyman: Perfidia (series? finale) (A great series and a nice way to end things. I hope NBC reconsiders and picks up the show.)
- Spoilers Anonymous (Spoilers for Gossip Girl, Jericho, Lost, Moonlight, Nip/Tuck, One Tree Hill, Pushing Daisies and Smallville.)
- A sneak peek at Heroes Volume Three - VIDEO (Footage from upcoming episodes!!! Question is, when will we see those episodes?)
- Buy More Vs. Work Bench (If you could choose to work at Chuck's Buy More or Reaper's Work Bench, where would you work?)
- The 4400 canceled (Damn it! Enough said.)
- Monk and Psych are coming to NBC (Yippee! Enough said.)
- All Isabelle wants for Festivus (What I wish for TV-wise for 2008.)
- Journeyman: The Hanged Man (Another fantastic episode. If only NBC would wake up!)
- You're watching Duel on ABC (My 2 cents about ABC's latest game show.)
- Smallville's Chloe to appear in the comics (I don't read comics, but I find it cool that the Superman one will now include a Smallville-created character.)
- Las Vegas: a midseason analysis (Two regular characters left the show after the September premiere and two new actors came in to fill the void. Did this change work?)

TV Squad posts of the week

Here are the articles I wrote this week for TV Squad:
- ABC's winter schedule (Lost moves to Thursdays starting January 31st!)
- Two American Idol contestants to guest star on Bones (Brandon Rogers and Ace Young are the ones guesting.)
- Dead Like Me movie trailer - VIDEO (Not that great of a trailer but better than nothing.)
- On the 7th day of Festivus, TV gave to me... (I offer links to 7 TV-related websites you may not know about.)
- Pushing Daisies: Corpsicle (This may end up being the season finale of the series.)
- Lost season four trailer - VIDEO (Finally some Season 4 footage and hints!)
- Spoilers Anonymous (Spoilers for Brothers & Sisters, ER, Friday Night Lights, Gossip Girl, Grey's Anatomy, House, Lost, Medium, One Tree Hill, Scrubs, Smallville and Supernatural.)
- Journeyman really over? (NBC decided not to pick up more episodes before the deadline they had set, meaning that it's pretty much a given that the series won't return... ever.)
- Journeyman: Home By Another Way (Nice episode filled with some answers and hints. A good episode for those who prefer the character development than the time-traveling.)
- Samantha Who?: The Break Up (Another fun episode.)

TV Squad posts of the week

Here are the articles I wrote this week for TV Squad:

- The first official trailer for the Sex and the City movie - VIDEO (A disappointing trailer but at least it offers a glimpse of the cast.)
- More Don't Forget the Lyrics coming your way! (Not that I watch (I don't) but I know some people will be glad to hear the news.)
- NBC's winter schedule (NBC is probably the network that has the most original and non-game/reality programming left to air.)
- Private Practice: In Which Dell Finds His Fight (A so-so episode that may end up being the season finale.)
- "Best of" SNL to air in primetime in December (Some of these are available on DVD but most didn't air on TV.)
- The Bones kiss you didn't get to see - VIDEO (Hot and steamy stuff!)
- Spoilers Anonymous (Spoilers for Bones, Desperate Housewives, Dexter, Dirt, Friday Night Lights, Heroes, Lost, Moonlight, Prison Break, Samantha Who? and Ugly Betty)

TV Squad posts of the week

Here are the articles I wrote this week for TV Squad:

- House: the musical? (Just imagine the type of songs the doctors would sing!)
- CBS's winter schedule (Big Brother returns!)
- Samantha Who?: The Car (Like mother, like daughter.)
- Melinda Clarke: In the Limelight (One of TV's best vixen.)
- Desperate Housewives: Something's Coming (This episode could very well serve as a season finale.)
- Journeyman's 12th episode will air after all (For us, it's episode 13 because networks don't count the pilot as an episode. Sadly, the series will probably not be renewed unless the writers' strike last too long for the networks to have a pilot season.)
- Pushing Daisies: Bitter Sweets (Mmmm... taffy!)
- Spoilers Anonymous (Spoilers for Brothers & Sisters, Chuck, CSI: Miami, Desperate Housewives, Dirty Sexy Money, ER, Gossip Girl, Grey's Anatomy, Lost, Moonlight, Nip/Tuck and Smallville.)
- Samantha Who?: The Hockey Date (I decided to review that show not only because I watch it but also because there are episodes left to air after the Holidays.)
- NBC gives full seasons to Life and Chuck (Yippee!)
- Kitchen Nightmares: The season so far (Gordon Ramsay tries to help restaurants on the verge of closing while entertaining us.)
- Desperate Housewives: A Distant Past (Stella's storyline finally ends.)

TV Squad posts of the week

Here are the articles I wrote this week for TV Squad:

- Extreme Makeover: Home Edition to air its 100th episode this Sunday (100 episodes for the feel-good series.)
- What Isabelle is thankful for (Thanksgiving was in October for me, but I still took part in TV Squad's Thanksgiving feature and listed what I'm thankful for in TV.)
- Private Practice: In Which Cooper Finds a Port In His Storm (I was expecting much more out of this episode... sadly, Cooper ended up in bed with the character I find the most useless...)
- Pushing Daisies: Smell of Success (Quite an interesting episode featuring Pee-Wee Herman!)
- Kyle XY's January return (Yay! This cool series returns sooner than expected! Something to watch when most of the other series are in reruns because of the strike.)
- Spoilers Anonymous (Spoilers for Brothers & Sisters, Dirty Sexy Money, Grey's Anatomy, Heroes, Lost, Numb3rs, Reaper and Smallville.)
- Sex and the City movie update - VIDEO (More info on the movie.)

TV Squad posts of the week

Here are the articles I wrote this week for TV Squad:
- Alex O'Loughlin: In the Limelight - VIDEO [Learn a little bit more about the new vampire on TV.]
- WGA Strike: How will it affect TV show spoilers? [Since production of new episodes is slowly stopping, spoilers are becoming more and more rare.]
- Dead Like Me movie update [A few new tidbits about the direct-to-DVD movie.]
- Private Practice: In Which Sam Gets Taken For a Ride [Hello David Sutcliffe!]
- Spoilers Anonymous [Spoilers for Brothers & Sisters, Dirty Sexy Money, Friday Night Lights, Grey's Anatomy, Heroes, Lost, and Pushing Daisies.]
- Journeyman: Winterland [Finally, we learn a lot more about Livia.]

Two other female bloggers and myself wrote a "TV Male Eye Candy" list to go along with AOL's top 50 TV women. I've wrote two posts in that "Eye Candy" feature:
- TV male eye candy (Number 1)
- TV male eye candy (Isabelle's top three) [Choosing only 3 out of the list of men currently on TV was a nightmare!]

TV Squad posts of the week

Here are the articles I wrote this week for TV Squad:
- Private Practice: In Which Charlotte Goes Down The Rabbit Hole (Not a bad episode even if it featured a bit too much stuff with Charlotte.)
- Pushing Daisies: Girth (A fantastic episode! One of my favorites.)
- Spoilers Anonymous (Spoilers for 24, 30 Rock, Bones, Chuck, Desperate Housewives, ER, Friday Night Lights, Heroes, Lost, One Tree Hill, Prison Break, Smallville, and Ugly Betty.)

- Spoilers Anonymous (Spoilers for 24, Carpoolers, Chuck, Desperate Housewives, Dexter, Friday Night Lights, Grey's Anatomy, Heroes, Moonlight, Private Practice, and Ugly Betty.)

TV Squad posts of the week

Here are the articles I wrote this week for TV Squad:
- Desperate Housewives: If There's Anything I Can't Stand (Susan needs to get some brains!)
- Moonlight: Fever (I reviewed Friday's installment since the usual reviewer was away. This wasn't a bad episode at all.)
- Private Practice gets a full season order (I'm not sure if I'm jumping of joy... I would have liked Addison to go back to Seattle Grace and bring Cooper along with her.)
- Private Practice: In Which Addison Has A Very Casual Get Together (The episodes are getting better but the show is still not there.)
- Pushing Daisies: The Fun in Funeral (This would have been best as the second episode of the series since it's tied so much with the action that occurered in the pilot.)
- Spoilers Anonymous (Spoilers for 24, 30 Rock, Chuck, Desperate Housewives, ER, Gossip Girl, Grey's Anatomy, Heroes, Lost, Smallville and Ugly Betty.)

Here are the articles I wrote this week for TV Squad:

- More Sex and the City movie spoilers... and foilers! (Includes a picture of Carrie in a special dress.)
- Desperate Housewives: The Game (I thought this was a so-so episode.)
- Private Practice: In Which Addison Finds The Magic (I'm still not really liking this series. I'll give it until episode 5.)

- Behind the scenes of everything Heroes - VIDEO (Really funny clips!)
- Desperate Housewives: Smiles of a Summer Night (Fantastic episode!)

TV Squad posts of the week

Here are the articles I wrote this week for TV Squad:
- Private Practice: In Which Sam Receives an Unexpected Visitor (The second episode was better than the premiere but it's still not what I want in a series to keep watching it. I'm giving it another month to get better or I'll stop watching.)

- Pushing Daisies: Pie-lette (series premiere) (A gem of a series! Are you watching?)

- Spoilers Anonymous (Spoilers for Bones, Chuck, Desperate Housewives, Friday Night Lights, Gossip Girl, Grey's Anatomy, Heroes, Lost, Supernatural and The Office.)

- Desperate Housewives: Now You Know (season premiere) (Nathan Fillion is on the show now. Enough said!)

TV Squad posts of the week

Here are the articles I wrote this week for TV Squad:

  • One major character leaves Prison Break (Not to worry, it's not one of the brothers but some fans say they'll stop watching the show because that character is leaving.)
  • Earl gets Charmed (I wonder if announcements of Alyssa Milano coming back on TV will trigger crazed Charmed fans to email me about Prue's return to the show! lol)
  • NYTVF: Pilot reviews, part two of six (This was a totally new experience for me. Even though the pilots weren't that great, it was interesting to see what NYTVF was all about and what people could think of!)
  • Kyle XY: Leap of Faith (midseason finale) (Great finale even if the cliffhanger wasn't really one... now we have to wait a few months for the rest of the season.)
  • Any Friends reunion would be Ross-less (Yep, more talks about the not-yet-planned-nor-in-the-works Friends reunion. Somehow, I think that David Schwimmer may change his tune in a few years and with the right amount of money.)
  • Spoilers Anonymous (Spoilers for Desperate Housewives, Friday Night Lights, Greek, Heroes, October Road, Scrubs, Two and a Half Men, and Ugly Betty.)
  • Lee Pace: In the Limelight (I loved the pilot episode of Pushing Daisies, starring Lee Pace. If you liked "Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain" and like fantasy series, you'll like this!)
  • What to expect in season 7 of Smallville (If you just can't wait for the end of September, I give you hints of what is to come this season.)
  • What to expect in season 2 of Ugly Betty (Another article giving you spoilers of the season to come. Including who survived last year's finale!)

Bones - Season 3 Info

Can't wait for FOX's Bones to come back? Me neither. Even though I didn't care much for the pilot, I gave the show another chance when it premiered and it's now part of my must-watch list. Season 3 will begin at the end of September but that doesn't mean we can't get a glimpse of what's to come. Read my "What to expect in season three of Bones" for all the dish!

American Inventor finale

As you know, I'm stuck watching mostly reality series this summer and ABC's American Inventor was one of the series I was following. Last night was the finale of the show and the ending wasn't surprising since one of the inventions could save lives. You can read about the winner and his road to success HERE.

Spoilers Anonymous

Want to know what will happen in the upcoming seasons of your favorite series? I scouted the web for you and found spoilers for the various series (see below) in this week's edition of Spoilers Anonymous.

Burn Notice, Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy, Heroes, House, How I Met Your Mother, Kyle XY, Lost, Nip/Tuck, One Tree Hill, Supernatural, The 4400, The L Word and Ugly Betty.

America's Got Talent - Performance Episode #3

Yay! Boy Shakira and Kashif are not in the Top 10 (I still can't believe they made it to the Top 20 when people like the 3 Redneck Tenors were left on the sidelines). You can read my thoughts about tonight's performances HERE.

My picks to go home at the beginning of next week's show are Julienne Irwin and Sideswipe (the latter should not have made it to the Top 10 since they didn't have much more to offer). Julienne is a wild card though as she could get a lot of votes from the younger audience members since she is the younger contestant.

On another note, I'm currently watching The Singing Bee and it's 80s night! I love 80s (and early 90s) music.

My Summer Watchlist

Summer 2007 is unusual for me as it's my first summer since 1992 where I'm home. Since 1992, I've been attending or working at summer camps where there is 1 TV for way too many people, making it impossible for me to watch the shows I wanted. Luckily, in the past years, I was able to tape 1 show per summer (CBS's Big Brother) and had a friend who sent me DVDs of other series (like The 4400).

Since I'm home this summer, and have a 4 TV/1 me ratio, I have decided to get addicted to a few TV series. Sadly, summer TV is not that good, especially since I don't have channels like HBO, Showtime, and the likes. Therefore, I'm stuck watching mostly reality series. Here is what I'm watching this summer:
  • America's Got Talent, NBC
  • American Inventor, ABC
  • Big Brother, CBS
  • Brother and Sisters (I didn't watch the first run so I'm catching reruns), ABC
  • Greek, ABC
  • Hell's Kitchen, FOX
  • Kyle XY, ABC Family
  • So You Think You Can Dance, FOX
  • The 4400, USA Network
I also watched The Next Best Thing on ABC. When I'm working from home, I catch reruns of episodes I never watched of Buffy, Crossing Jordan and Star Trek: The Next Generation. I plan to torture myself by watching the six unaired episodes of The Nine when ABC airs them. I say torture because I know we will not get proper closure and all answers.

Kyle XY - What's The Frequency, Kyle? (Episode 2.08)

You can read my latest Kyle XY review HERE. You can read my other Kyle XY episode reviews at the following links:

Dead Like Me movie

Not having Showtime, I was never able to catch Dead Like Me during its original airings. Thanks to reruns, I've been able to enjoy this gem of a series which was canceled after only two seasons. A few weeks ago, it was announced that a direct-to-DVD movie was in the works.

If you want to know more about the movie and read a few not-that-spoilerish spoilers about it, go read my Some Dead Like Me movie spoilers article.

Miss TV Guide enters the building

After another trip to Florida with my parents before I started highschool, I decided I would learn English. I knew that English classes wouldn't be enough so I decided to watch English TV (with English captions on) and only that. This made me catch the TV bug and learn most of my English. This also had my highschool friends and peers nickname me Miss TV Guide since I watched so many hours of TV I could tell them what show aired when and what happened ("talent" they liked and used because one of our English teachers asked we watched 30 minutes of English TV per week and take notes on what happened... of course, I was the "notes" provider!).

On page 26 of my highschool year book, you can read that my "favorite sport" is "watching TV." The paragraph next to my picture also mentions "If you need information about a TV series, go see her. She knows the TV Guide by heart!" This is something my friends still say about me!

When the Internet made its way to my home, I was introduced to the world of spoilers (information about upcoming episodes), boards, websites devoted to TV series, and websites devoted to TV news. Since then, I've made my way in the TV world and worked for many websites.

Nowadays, I'm trying to concentrate my Internet time to various TV sites including AOL's TV Squad where I blog about various TV series and news. I still do TV web work under an alias, and since I want anonymity there, I'll keep it the alias to myself (those of you reading who know it, please don't say it...).

I'm starting this blog today because I want to openly share my passion for TV. I've been blogging under an alias but I've grown tired of it.

I present to you the "Miss TV Guide" blog where I'll dish and give my two cents about various TV series, give random TV news, etc. I hope you enjoy it!
